The opening ceremony of the ICAO, USOAP-CMA Audit was held at the Civil Aviation Training Institute (CATI), the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), Yangon on 10 December 2018

The Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) is one of ICAO’s priority programmes designed to enable the State to ensure the implementation of ICAO's safety-related Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), associated procedures and guidance materials.

ICAO conducts USOAP Continuous Monitoring Approach (CMA) on-site activities in Myanmar from 10 December 2018 to 21 December 2018.

The opening ceremony of the USOAP Audit was held at the Civil Aviation Training Institute (CATI), the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), Yangon on 10 December 2018. Director General of DCA Myanmar, Mr. Min Lwin and Audit Team Leader, Mr. Junjian Nie, delivered the opening remarks. Following the opening ceremony, ICAO Audit Team paid the courtesy call on the Deputy Union Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr. Kyaw Myo.

USOAP Audit will focus on Myanmar's capability in providing safety oversight by assessing whether Myanmar has effectively and consistently implemented the critical elements (CEs) of a safety oversight system.
